New Rules for Serbian Citizens to Enter the EU from 2023

Presently, citizens of Serbia can visit the Schengen area without getting a visa stamped on their passports. But things are going to change from 2023 onwards. Starting in 2023, visitors to Serbia will first need to submit an online application through the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS).
As per the earlier plans, ETIAS was expected to be available by January 2023 but got postponed to May 2023. And now, according to the EU's official website, it will not be ready until November 2023.
People of Serbia can submit their online application form on the official ETIAS website or a mobile app for the same that will be launched after ETIAS becomes functional. The application form must have an e-mail address, passport information, and personal information and it must be submitted before 96 hours of the travel date.
After completing all the steps, paying the application fee via credit or debit card is the last step. The application fee for adults (18-70 years of age) will be 7 euros while those outside this age group are exempted from paying the fee.
Starting November 2023, citizens of Serbia will need to submit an ETIAS form if they want to enter any of the following 30 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Besides, if a Serbian citizen wants to visit European micro-states like the Vatican (through Italy), San Marino (through Italy), and Monaco (through France), submitting the ETIAS form is required.
