Finland Abolishes All COVID-19 Travel Restrictions for Third Country Citizens

Third-country citizens planning to enter Finland will no longer be obliged to present valid evidence that shows they've completely completed the immunization process against the Coronavirus, a negative result of a COVID- 19 test, or suffer a testing process upon their appearance in the Northern European country after the government blazoned that it eventually would abolish similar demand. The decision which will grease the trip process for passengers outside the European Union and the Schengen Zone has been verified through a statement published by the Finnish government, while stressing that the new changes will come effective on June 30.

The new rules have been introduced after health authorities in Finland assured that the epidemiological situation in the country permits such a decision to be taken while stressing that there's no longer any health ground for restrictions to be kept in place on the country’s external borders.

Authorities in Finland believe that the junking of similar restrictions assessed to contain the further spread of the Coronavirus and its new variants will lead to an increase in the number of advent passengers from countries outside the EU and the Schengen Zone.

â€œThe junking of restrictions is anticipated to increase business from third countries. For illustration, business on the eastern border may increase. Traffic volumes are affected by, among other effects, the desire of Russians to travel and the number of valid visas. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs issues visas to Finland,” the statement published by Finland’s government reads.

Back in January this time, the Finnish government blazoned that it lifted the internal border controls introduced due to COVID- 19 for all advents from the European Union Member States.

The decision was verified through a statement published by Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and came effective on January 31. Back also, the same Ministry stressed that the controls on the country’s external borders assessed for advent from third countries would continue to remain in place.

According to the numbers handed by the World Health Organization (WHO), an aggregate of people has tested positive for the Coronavirus in Finland since the morning of the outbreak, while an aggregate of, 771 people lost their lives due to the contagion.

The numbers handed by WHO show that as of June 5, there have been vaccine boluses administered in Finland.
