England Crushed Senegal to Face-off France in Quarter Finals

It’s another wonderful day for fans of England football. The English FIFA team moved ahead to the next level with their free-scoring form. The team has now marched into the tournament's quarter-final stage where it will meet France for the next clash.
The England FIFA team defeated Senegal with a 3-0 score at Al Bayt Stadium in their “Round of 16” match. The defending champions, France, moved to the quarter-final stage after defeating Poland with a 3-1 on the scoreboard a day before.
For the English side, Captain Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, and Jordan Henderson scored one goal each against the African champions. With this, team England also levelled its best-ever World Cup total of 12 goals that it achieved in Russia in 2018.
In the first half, Senegal got its chances of scoring while England was struggling. However, Henderson acted smartly in the 38th minute and broke the deadlock and Kane took the lead just before the first half ended. And, England sealed the game with Saka’s goal arrived in the 57th minute. This victory also extended England’s unbeaten record of a win against African teams to 21 games. And, the only African team left in the tournament now is Morocco which will be facing Spain on Tuesday.
For this match, Senegal struggled at the midfield defence due to the absence of injured Cheikhou Kouyate and suspended Idrissa Gueye. Another player the African side missed throughout the tournament was Sadio Mane who might have troubled the English defence. While England had a convincing victory, they were static and slow for most time during the first half. They gifted several chances to Senegal through misplaced passes. Moreover, English fans also stayed silent while relentless drummers for Senegal have been spurring their team during the first 38 minutes. However, after the first break, England appeared fully confident and took over the field.
Now, when England has proceeded to the quarter-finals, it will be facing the French team next. And that’s where English footballers will need to do something better than a similarly slow start.
