British Airways Euroflyer to Expand its Operations from Gatwick with new Short-haul flights

BA Euroflyer, a subsidiary of British Airways, is expanding its operations from Gatwick Airport with new short-haul routes. Starting 27 May, the airline will operate three flights per week to Montpellier, a French city. In addition, three BA flights per week will start on 30 May and weekly flights to Mykonos will begin on 10 June from Gatwick Airport.
From 28 March, the airline will also operate a summer service to Austria’s Salzburg from Gatwick. This will complement the winter flights, already being operated on the same route. In the final move, the airline will start operating on a route to Innsbruck in Austria from Gatwick from 8 December for the next winter.
This is a part of the now-on-sale 21-destination schedule for the 2023/24 winter season from Gatwick.
BA Euroflyer’s acting CEO, Tom Stoddart said, “It is exciting to see our short-haul schedule at Gatwick grow. These additional routes are to a broad range of destinations that will suit all manner of travellers.”
This expansion follows BA Euroflyer getting AOC (Air Operator’s Certificate) last month. This certificate will enable BA Euroflyer to operate similarly to the London city airport-based subsidiary of the airline, BA Cityflyer.
Throughout the year, this short-haul operation from Gatwick will cover almost 40 destinations with the economy as well as business flights.
