Argentina Storms into World Cup Final, Beating Croatia 3-0

It’s another day of cheers for Messi and FIFA fans as Argentina once again reaches the World Cup finals. Argentina defeated Croatia 3-0 in the FIFA World Cup 2022’s first semi-final match. Lionel Messi played a significant role today with a goal and a brilliant assist to Julian Alvarez. And, Alvarez shot two stunning goals to keep the two-time champions in lead at the Lusail Stadium on Wednesday.
Up till halftime, Argentina created a 2-0 lead against the opponents. In the second half, Croatia didn’t get a chance to make a comeback while Alvarez scored the team’s third.
In the 34th minute, Messi scored his tournament’s fifth and the match’s first goal, breaking the deadlock. Five minutes later, Alvarez came to attack and doubled the lead with a superb solo goal. And the 69th minute created a dead end for Croatia when Alvarez shot the third goal for Argentina. This came after Messi broke the Croatian defence single-handedly and gave a wonderful assist to Alvarez.
France and Morocco will play the second semi-final today. The winner will clash with Argentine on Sunday for the trophy. However, the losing team will play against Croatia for the third spot.
All the Messi fans came to enjoy his football skills but Alvarez stole the show with a goal in each half. The best shot of the match came in the 69th minute when Messi-Alvarez paired up in perfect sync to cut through the Croatian defence and pave the way for their sixth appearance in the World Cup final.
Argentina won twice in World Cups in 1978 and 1986. In 2022, Messi will be looking forward to leading his team to a third-world crown.
Besides, Argentina also retained its record of winning every semi-final match they played in World Cup tournaments.
